Taman Ayun literally translates as "beautiful garden" and it owns an attractive temple building with multistoried roof. Symbolizing the Balinese Architecture, it's rich with exquisite wooden Merus, pagoda-like shrines and a beautiful landscape garden in front courtyard. Built in the 17th century, the temple served as the Royal Temple for The Mengwi dynasty and well preserved till now due to its historical values.
